It's amazing how small they are making portable "hard drives" these days. Soon, mp3's are going to go away because there won't be file size limitations anymore. (except for downloading music through a dial-up connection.)

I see the manufactures making these little 100gb hard drives that will simply plug into the car stereo through a pc card, firewire or USB port. The same as the ipod does now. The tricky part is making the user interface to select the music (ipod has a good one.) Maybe the car stereo will have the interface built in, voila! Then the same little hard drive that you can use with your stereo will work in the car, on your boombox on the beach, of through an ipodish interface that you can clip to your belt.

The times, they are a changin' for sure

what i like scrim no more burning to cd's,that's a huge plus for the old wallet,more for the local strippers and hooter girls :)p.s. jvc has a car audio system but are working out the bugs.
